Last night we were proud to join the launch of CERA’s Hope in Sight Giving Day at the Vision Expo, a powerful celebration of innovation, courage and community.
Louis and I were honoured to share our story alongside Professor Lauren Ayton, whose research is bringing real hope to families like ours affected by Usher syndrome.
For families living with Usher syndrome, research means everything. It means the possibility of preserving sight, of keeping independence, and of giving our young people the chance to see their future more clearly.
Louis spoke about his love of cricket and his determination not to let vision loss define him, reminding us all that science, families and supporters are on the same team, working together to hit blindness for six.
